The game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder was one for the ages and looked more like an ABA game of lore. In the end, the Mavericks walked out of Chesapeake Energy Arena with a 135-131 victory.
“It was a great basketball game,” Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. “Every once in a while, you stand over there and you say, `This is an unbelievable game to be a part of,’ and it was. The extreme momentum swings back and forth – the shot making was breathtaking.”
Even another Russell Westbrook triple double (31 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) could not help the Thunder, losers of three of their last four games. Center Enes Kantor also added 30 points and 16 rebounds.
“I think we just got beat on a lot of pick-and-rolls, and I think we just have to work on it,” Kanter said.
