Thunder beat back Pistons to get win

The Detroit Pistons are a team in turmoil.  Losing their last 11 games, their last win was against the Oklahoma Thunder.  It almost happened again as Josh Smith launched a game winner, 3-point shot with 1.1 seconds to play.

“Obviously, I was going for the win, or I wouldn’t have shot a 3,” Smith said. “I had a great look, but it just didn’t go down.”

Serge Ibaka was huge for the Thunder scoring 13 points and adding 13 rebounds to boot.

“I thought Serge was tremendous,” Durant said. “He was chasing down all of those rebounds and scoring when we were kicking them out to him. We had possessions where we had three great shots and three offensive rebounds. We’re doing a good job of rebounding the ball.”

Durant returns, Thunder still lose

The Oklahoma Thunder had hoped that the return of their All Star Kevin Durant would spark a return to their winning ways but the New Orleans Pelicans had different ideas and used a 40 point second quarter to help propel them past the Thunder 104-112.  Durant had 27 points.

“I was confident in myself. I knew my wind wasn’t where I wanted it to be, obviously, but I felt good out there,” said Durant, who missed the Thunder’s first 17 games with a fractured right foot.

The Thunder have a huge opportunity to get back on track as they face the Philadelphia 76er’s who have won only one game thus far into the season.   The team then moves on to Detroit before they are back home on the 9th to face Bucks.  Get your tickets now and help support your Oklahoma City Thunder!

Thunder drop game to Bucks

Injuries are plaguing the Oklahoma Thunder and last night it became even more evident that this struggle will not be soon in passing.  Key on the injury list is Kevin Durant.  He is joined by power forwards Grant Jarrett and Mitch McGary.   The Bucks beat the Thunder 78-85 for the first time since 2010, keeping the Thunder winless on the road.

PG Reggie Jackson had a team high 29 points for the Thunder while O.J. Mayo led the Bucks with 19.

The Thunder take on the Boston Celtics today.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available.  Get yours now!
