The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Murray State’s Cameron Payne with the 14th overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft. Cameron had an earlier successful meeting with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Head Coach Billy Donovan and President of Basketball Operations Sam Presti.
In the second round, the Thunder selected 7 foot Kentucky Center Dakari Johnson with the 48th overall pick. Johnson was a sophomore last season under John Calipari. The 19-year old averaged 6.4 ppg and 4.6 rebounds in under 17 minutes per game.
